Ahead of the 2024 Elections, I submitted three art pieces for an exhibition called Voting Schmoting. Working with creative Dan Middlehurst, we created politically charged posters, subverting newspaper headlines to highlight media bias. We wanted to highlight the chaotic and declining standards of journalism that have recently taken over the newspaper industry, often shifting towards a social media-driven narrative. And also highlight the media’s shift to the right, focusing solely on targeting a specific group of people.
This work is entirely speculative and in no way endorses or reflects real events, organisations, or individuals. It is purely fictional and created for conceptual purposes. Our aim is to satirise and critique modern media, not to support or condone any views depicted. Any logos used are under fair use for commentary and critique.
